Some are sites that will raise money or food for homeless animals, and allow you to learn or have fun while doing it. Others are sites dedicated to helping homeless pets find homes. If you have a pet, it would approve of you surfing these sites to help others. If you do not have a pet, then this is a terrific way to make life better for other pets.

Play Trivia to Help Save Shelter Pets
This link starts off having you answer trivia questions and earning bits of kibble for dogs. You can switch it to feed cats, which I always do, as I know there are far more cats in shelters than there are dogs. According to the site, they donate to shelters when people answer correctly a multiple choice trivia game. It’s free, you do not have to become a member or join, but can if you wish to earn more for the animals. As well, if you join you can change trivia categories to get a topic you are good with. There are links to saving other animals as well, including baby seals.

Click to Give
A site to help animals in shelters in the USA, they report over 10 million are euthanized every year. How sad. Every click on their purple button and they will donate to help these homeless animals. In fact as soon as you click it, they tell you how much you helped to donate. Sites like these operate by selling advertising, when you click they can show to the advertisers that people are reading their site, thus generating more advertiser money, which can be donated to help shelter animals. Like the above link there are other options if you want to give to help fight Breast Cancer, for example, you can.

Can You Help Homeless Pets?
All you have to do is click on this site and money is generated to go towards helping homeless pets in Canada. The site contains art work and pet information so is entertaining as well. This is my own link, and from this link you can click onto many other pet links to see all kinds of animal information, written by many different people, with different ideas and view points. Not all links generate money for animals, only the original link.

Dogs in Danger
The site opens to remind us that in the USA over 4 million unwanted dogs are euthanized annually in that country alone. There is a pet finder system,so anyone looking to adopt a dog in the United States can find one, and rescue it. They definitely play on the fact that these dogs are running out of time. I personally have no problem with this, as long as pets find good homes as a result.

Pet Finder
This site has helped over 12 million pets find homes since 1995. They have a pet finder system that covers the United States and Canada. Remember though, if you have a shelter near by, check there first. Not all shelters have the ability to go on line to list there animals through such programs as Pet Finder.

Rescue a Pet UK
The Royal Society for the Protection of Animals rehomes about 70,000 animals a year, including horses, ponies and mice! There are lots of links and ways to find pets through this site, as well there is a lot of good information. When I first found this link I was very impressed with the layout of it, it is well organized and not full of advertising clutter making it a site well worth checking out, even if you are not in the United Kingdom.

Stopping Cruelty in the Pet Industry
This link talks briefly about puppy mills and other common practices that perpetuate cruelty. Many of these things happen right out in the open and are supported by people who do not know any different. There are no graphic pictures on this site. It is just good information worth checking out if you love animals. A good link to check to make sure you are not inadvertently contributing to the problems animals face.

Picable Pets
Picable is a site that has many pet pictures uploaded by many people, some whom have written neat descriptions of their beloved pets. Click on any picture to see the details of that photo, and a link to several others. A person could spend ages on this site, just clicking from one photograph to another. You will find all kinds of pets on this site, not just ones you think are common. Interestingly enough if you click this link on a different day, you will find different pictures. This link is here, not to help any animal, but simply for you to enjoy.
