One 7-month-old kitten wished to give his mom a gift. But, he had no money to buy her a flower. He walked helplessly to and fro in front of a florist. He was feeling very sad that he could not buy his mom even one flower.

Soon, there came a rich cat with his big car. He wanted to buy his wife a bunch of flowers. While walking to the entrance of the florist, he was surprised to see a small cat crying. He approached the little cat and asked, “Why are you crying?” The cat replied him, “I’d like to buy my mom a flower but I have no money.”

The rich cat comforted him and said he would buy him a flower and sent him back to see his mom. The small cat was very happy. Upon receiving money from the rich cat, the owner of the florist handed one fresh flower to the small cat.

The small cat then followed the rich cat to his big car. While driving, the rich cat was wondering why the small cat lived so far away from a town. The car passed through one large tunnel and then headed to a very remote area. Soon, the car went into a graveyard.

Feeling amazed, the rich cat asked the small cat where his mom was. The small cat pointed to one grave, and said, “There, there, up there. My mom is there.” The rich cat suddenly realized something. He stopped his car and let the small cat out to visit his mom’s graveyard with the flower in his hand. The small cat said thank you to the rich cat and insisted that he wanted to remain with his mom three days staying near to his mom’s grave.

Quickly, the rich cat drove back to the florist and said to the owner that he did not want just a bunch of flowers but he wanted several fresh flowers for his mom. The owner grinned at him and said, “Good grief! The big boss now knows how to appreciate his mom!” Looking at him, the rich cat said nothing but felt embarrassed. The rich cat was actually touched by the act of that 7-month-old cat. He recalled how he was unfaithful to his mom, and treated his mom as a maid. The small cat taught him a good lesson.
The rich cat knocked at the door at his mother’s house. His mom opened the door with joy while seeing her son coming back. He suddenly knelt in front of his mom and said, “Mom, you brought me up, took good care of me and left me lots of properties but I’ve never treated you good. In fact, my wife and I treat you as a maid and make you work like a slave in our big house. I’ve never treated you like a mom and have never appreciated your love. Mom, please forgive your son….” He handed some fresh flowers to his mom and said again, “From now on, I don’t want to make you work like a slave but I want you to enjoy life together with us.”

His mom cried joyously and hugged him tightly, saying, “I finally have your heart back!” Looking at her son, she said, “You’re still my son, no matter how you treat me!”

From that day onwards, the rich cat, his wife and the rich cat’s mom lived happily. This event spread far rapidly to each corner of the town and people were curious to know what happened to this strange family. The rich cat had been known to treat his mom cruelly and order his mom around. Now, everyone should take a lesson from this story of how to treat their moms nicely.
