Dogs Tend to be Like Their Owners

(815 start) If you are wondering why your dog acts the way he or she does, it is because of you.

If you have seen my photo of my dog, Bocky, nursing a kitten… then you might know how I am, at least a little.

Our pets tend to act the way we do. If we are nice, kind and gentle, they will be too. If we take in those who are in need, our pets will too.

If we are happy or sad, out pets will feel the same.

If we are over weight, our pets may need a diet too. If we are active, out pets will be too.

Dogs seem to be able to sense the greatness in people as well as the evil. Dogs will be loyal to their owners for as long as their owners are loyal to them.

It is not every dog that will nurse a kitten but my dog will, she is like me. We get gain a sense of accomplishment in helping others, even if they are nothing like us.

This is very, very true. You can see people’s cruelty and real color by just looking at the condition of their pets.

One of my grade school friends has a dog. Her daughter was at the door and couldn’t get in because she’d lost her key. Her dog went to the door and heard her daughter saying “get my Mom”. Honey returned and my friend said she had the strangest sound coming from her and she wondered “why is she sounding like this?” Honey kept looking down the hall. My friend figured it out she was trying to tell her that her daughter was locked out and needed her. Now it’s become routine. I see more and more that dogs really are man’s best friend. I call her Honey the Wonder Dog now! :)

I miss having a dog. You are so right. Dogs take on the owners’ characteristics.
