Healthy and Inexpensive Homemade Treats for Dogs
By: Chelsea Arsenal

Commercial treats are preferred by pet owners nowadays since they are readily available and it gives us less hassle since we just have to pour them in their bowls. Commercial treats are high in calories and they do not provide all the nutrients that our dog needs. So here are healthy and affordable dog treats that you can make at home.
1. Bake fresh liver in low heat in the oven until it is chewy. Cut into little pieces and for extra appeal, sprinkle with little garlic powder before baking.

2. Cut hot dogs into tiny pieces and microwave it until crispy. Turkey based franks are more preferred because they are lower in fat content.
3. Vegetables are undeniably healthy, but it does not click to some dogs. Vegetables are essential to their diet as this have a lot of fiber and adds roughage, thus constipation is prevented. Carrots, raw vegetables, green beans may be mixed and served cold. You may also steam or boil mixed vegetables in beef or chicken stock for flavor.
