Why the pug is a great dog
The pug comes from the toy breed section of the AKC. (American Kennel Club)
Although one of the largest dogs in the toy breed they are still very small. Pugs are considered lap dogs, and are known to follow their masters from room to room. They are associated with breathing problems because of how their nose is shaped but are healthy nonetheless. They require little exercise however they are also known to shed everywhere. If this sounds like a dog that fits your needs, don’t think twice about getting a pug. They are truly a gift.
They can come in a variety of colors although tan is the most common. There is black, silver, white, and gray.
I have two pugs, one tan and one black and both are very different. Yes both are very lovely and are wonderful pets to have!
My tan pug is a male and he is very rambunctious. He enjoys running, long walks, and playing with anyone. He is a very friendly dog, and will lick you and never stop!
My black pug on the other hand is a female. She is very protective, and doesn’t allow one stranger to go unnoticed. She is very intelligent and very obedient, but she is also the kind of dog that spends the day sleeping!
I wouldn’t trade either of my pugs for the world.
They truly are mans best friend.
