The monthly outlays for the the boarding of the animal makes them very expensive. Even if you have a place to keep them and you do most of the work to maintain them, you'll still likely need professional help from a vet and farrier on an ongoing cycle. <br /> <br /> However, just because its expensive to keep a horse doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.
