I do indeed read every comment. You will notice that this article is in the humor section. While my sense of humor might be in question, the attempt at humor is not. Please take no offense. Also, I had a dog who could open almost any door, including door knobs and the refrigerator. I did NOT teach him to do this, nor did any one else since I had the little begger almost from birth. As a matter of fact, I would have been happy had he not learned this skill at all. Not a trick, just tricksy intelligence.

Cats see you as Family and Dogs see you as friends. If you feed a cat it\’ll think your it\’s mother, this person obviously hasn\’t met great cats because i\’ve had a cat and a dog and I think cats are more affectionate and more intelligent. Dog learning tricks doesn\’t prove intelligence it proves obedience. Hope the Author reads my comment .

This is a tough one for me. I am more of a cat person, but I wish sometimes that a cat could have some dog-like qualities.

I like any aninal and of course dogs and cats. But i think the reality is that most people like dogs because they are so menial. I don’t like others to be menial to me including the dogs. I am not a prince anyway!

I enjoyed reading this piece, and I have to say that I have never had a cat for a pet. I love dogs and they are the only pets that I have ever had. Nicely done.

I love both and we own 2 dogs and a cat. I have noticed that the cat don’t try to trip me as much as our dogs do lol.Great article Annie!

Nice touch with the last line! LOL I agree with you wholeheartedly, though sometimes I wish I had only to deal with a cat food budget rather than feed 2 Rottweilers, and could train them to go in a litter box. Then again, the box would have to be a converted wheelbarrow.
