There are many things to consider when deciding on the breed of dog you will add to your family. Be sure you do a decent amount of research on the breeds you think would do well with your family’s lifestyle. Some breeds enjoy younger child more than others. There is a number of breeds that do not do well with younger children but do extremely well with older kids. Smaller breeds do not require as much running room or space as a larger breed does. There are different breeds that require quite a bit of attention and others who are quite satisfied with being by themselves for a number of hours each day. For example, if you work a lot of hours and are not home the majority of the day then its best not to get a puppy or dog who has breed has a tendency to become depressed or destructive when left alone for long periods of time.
