Outdoor Only Pets
Some pets do very well to live outdoors all year long. I am not talking about a discarded house cat. I am referring to wonderful animals like Pheasants, Donkeys, Llamas, Ducks, and Sheep.
We bought Aggie to be a pet, and to protect our sheep. One winter’s day, she did in fact manage to save the life of one of our ewes. The threat was not a coyote, but something we had never even considered.

I moved from the city to fulfill my childhood dream of living in the country, I bought 10 acres, and soon realized which three animals were the best, and most important, pets for anyone on an acreage.
